Take a bow Vitamin Shoppe (VSI), you deserve it. From $20 to $65 since 2010. One bad quarter just took you down — for now.
Vitamin Shoppe (VSI) is doing well becasue same store is strong. Still, I feel this stock is fully valued and people should invest in GNC (GNC) instead.
Vitamin Shoppe (VS) should be selling for 20 times earnings yet the P/E is a lofty 29. Why is this? Because VSI beats the street and raises estimates.
Vitamin Shoppe (VSI) needs to keep upping estimates for the stock to keep rising. I think it will, but I’m not buying the stock yet.
Vitamin Shoppe’s (VSI) one-year chart makes the stock look buyable, but estimates three and four quarters out show 25% and 17% growth coming. I thought VSI might take off like Herbalife (HLF) did last week but after analyzing VSI’s earnings table, I’m not smitten. I’ll continue to keep VSI on the radar.
