The best thing Wall Street has to offer right now are the tech stocks that are tied in to new generation cell phones. Research in Motion (RIMM), Apple (AAPL) , and Google (GOOG) should be a three headed monster next year when these phones become more prevalent in the world.
I expect half of the users in the U.S. to be using smartphones within three years. Although it seems like this is too much for many people, the advantages of the new systems are enormous and the learning curve will come down as the phones become more user friendly.
The advantages of the smartphones include built in GPS systems and internet access. Like any new toy, the perks take some getting used to. Years ago we all used the yellow pages to look up companies. Now we use Google. Well, if you’re out of the house and want to look up an address or phone number it’s very convenient to just Google it from your phone.
