Mounjaro and Zepbound continued to drive the company’s revenues, with last quarter’s sales rising 91% and 46%, respectively. Mounjaro growth was especially strong outside the US during the quarter, with revenue up 172% year-over-year.
Foundayo, the company’s oral GLP-1 pill for weight management has launched in the US & UAE for obesity, with approvals in Saudi Arabia for obesity and Mexico for obesity and Type 2 diabetes. Foundayo is now under regulatory review in over 40 countries, and could meaningfully broaden access to obesity treatment beyond injectables and could drive growth for Eli Lilly in the years to come. Foundayo has the same active ingredient Eli Lilly’s Mounjaro and Zepbound, Orforglipron.
Looking forward, Retatrutude remains to be the key long-term growth driver for Eli Lilly. The company reported positive Phase 3 results across multiple obesity trials, completing the clinical package for potential approvals in obesity, obstructive sleep apnea, and knee osteoarthritis pain. Retatrutide is expected to launch in 2028, and could become the largest blockbuster drug of All-Time.
