Sharek’s Take
David SharekFrancescas Holdings (FRAN) is one of the best stocks to own, but you can’t tell that because FRAN isn’t at its highs. The stock’s gone from $18 to $25 in the last 52-weeks, but is well of the $37 high set in early September. This is one of my favorite stocks because it has great numbers. The stock could easily move 50% higher in 2013, and that would just get it back to the September highs.
One-Year Chart
Here’s the one-year chart of the company. Profit growth has been at least 71% the last four quarters and my guess is 60% growth is coming this quarter. The stock’s estimated Long Term Growth Rate is a robust 31% yet the P/E is only 19.
Earnings Table
Profits jumped 71% last quarter on a 44% rise in sales. Same store sales rose a solid 17% and that should have made the stock climb higher.

FRAN has a good trend of upping estimates then beating them. There’s no red on this earnings table.

Annual Profit Estimates keep climbing a little each quarter.

Quarterly estimates look good and these will probably get upped and beat. 40% profit growth could be (optimistically) ahead in 2013.
Fair Value
FRAN_2012_Q4_FVFRAN is worth 35 times earnings and has some of the most upside of any stock I own.
Ten-Year Chart
FRAN_2012_Q4_10yrAlthough this ten-year chart shows little progress since FRAN IPO’d in July 2011, I like the look of it. We are definitely at the bottom of the base, which makes the risk here low on a technical basis. Profits are set to rise 74% this year and few seem to notice.

FRAN is ranked 5th overall in both the 16 stock Growth Portfolio and 9 stock Aggressive Growth Portfolio Power Rankings.
