Chart of the Day

Here is the one-year chart of Palo Alto Networks (PANW) as of September 28, 2026, when the stock was at $393.

Palo Alto Networks stock has been red-hot in an ice cold tech stock market because of the fear AI agents might be able to hack an organizations network. AI agent defense has become a new source of revenue for Palo Alto Networks as businesses need to do prevention and have their own AI agents in place to stop a cyberattack.

Last quarter, the company delivered 34% revenue growth. Unlike basic chatbots that mainly answer questions, AI agents can carry out tasks, access company data and use other software with limited human supervision, creating new security risks.

Its Idira platform, acquired through its recent CyberArk acquisition, helps businesses manage digital identities and control what AI agents are allowed to access, while Prisma AIRS helps monitor AI activity and enforce security rules in real time.

Meanwhile, PANW stock is red hot as investors see the need for higher cybersecurity and have been pushing stocks in this sector higher.
