Stocks are having a banner year in 2017. But the recent highs have made some stocks too high to buy.
The problem is these “too high to buy” stocks are often high for a reason. The reason is they are great stocks that deserve to go higher. Some could be the best stocks of our generation — so we can’t just sit on our hands and let them fly by. Unfortunately, some of these have traveled so far so fast they are dangerous to buy into at these levels.
I think we need a correction in the market for an opportunity to buy these stocks, and hopefully the slow Summer season will deliver us a pullback.
When top stocks correct, they often fall to the 50-day moving average, where institutions buy in. If a stock still continues to fall, the 200-day moving average is the next buy point, and if the stock falls below we should take that as a sell signal.
Here are five of my favorite top stocks that are too buy to buy.
