Sharek’s Take
David SharekLast August, the math told me Facebook would go from $39 to $60. It blew past $60 and is still rising. FB is #2 on my Growth Portfolio Power Rankings and I feel the stock is worth $75. My 2015 Fair Value is $101 and this figure is rising. I think the stock will end up somewhere between these two numbers. Facebook’s online marketing campaigns are the best on the Internet, and provide excellent returns on investment. It’s getting into video ads now, which will bring in even more money. This stock has a lot going for it, and I especially like the size of the market cap. As a money manager, I can feel comfortable investing a lot of money here.
One-Year Chart
FB_2014_Q1Facebook broke out after it beat the street last quarter, and this month the stock market had a correction so the move higher was impressive. Profit growth was a sizzling 82%. The P/E of 51 is in green because I feel premier stocks like this are worth 60x earnings — or more. This stock is impressive.
Earnings Table
FB_2014_Q1_EPSProfits popped 82% LastQtr, and revenue jumped 63% last qtr the 3rd consecutive qtr of accelerating revenue growth (up from 60% 2QtrsAgo). Mobile ads were 52% of revenue, up from 49% 2QtrsAgo, 41% 3QtrsAgo and 23% 4QtrsAgo.

FB beat by 4 cents, as profits were $0.31, and was a total of 14 cents higher than the $0.17 estimate from three-quarters ago. Ads in the newsfeed have been a goldmine.

Annual Profit Estimates continue to fly higher, this company could make $4 by 2016, a 50 P/E would be a $200 stock.

Quarterly growth looks great and these numbers climb each qtr.

Fair Value
FB_2014_Q1_PHRight now a 60 P/E nets a $75 stock, but estimates are increasing and you have to take 2015’s Fair Value into consideration. This stock is way better than Twitter.
Ten-Year Chart
FB_2014_Q1_10yrDuring 2012, FB wasn’t a good stock. Then when the company decided to bury ads in your newsfeed the stock started to move up past $20. At $23 I almost bought, but didn’t, then got in the $30s after FB proved the newsfeed ads were hot commodities and I got in. Stock’s still on a roll.
Power Ranking Bottom Line
Growth Portfolio

2 of 26

Facebook keeps pushing past my previous stock estimates, which makes me think the stock’s going a lot higher. Last quarter I said it was worth $67 by 2014. Half-way through February, its $67 today. This is a premier stock in the market and should be a top three holding in growth portfolios.

FB is ranked 2nd of 26 stocks in the Growth Portfolio Power Rankings and 2nd of 13 stocks in the Aggressive Growth Portfolio Power Rankings
